Who’s Your Ark?

In the Flood account of Genesis, the last verse of chapter 7 says this: “And the waters prevailed on the earth 150 days.” The key word in this verse is “prevailed.” God’s sovereignty through the forces of the flood waters prevailed over “the wickedness of man” because “every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually”(Genesis 6:5). Though the flood waters prevailed over the Earth, wiping out the wickedness of man in their rebellion against God, the first verse of chapter 8 tells us that “God remembered Noah…” Today’s message explores the concept of God’s “memory,” what it might have been like to live in the Ark for a year with no word from God except a previously given promise, and what this most famous of all Bible stories has to do with our generation as we face times of certain judgment. Pastor Don Ebel asks the question, “Who’s your Ark?”
